The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park announced their first ever birth of a Prehensile-tailed Porcupine (Coendou prehensilis).
If you ever get a chance, I highly recommend watching these animals eat something, like pieces of fruit being handed to them by a person. They reach out very politely and nibble with a quiet, dignified mien that’s at hilarious odds with the fact that they’re covered in weaponry.
