Lessons Learned:
- Even out in the desert, the galaxy won’t be visible if the moon comes out
- On the other hand, if the moon comes out, it’ll be bright enough that you’ll cast a shadow
- It is possible to make bocce surprisingly exciting under the right conditions
- While the exterior of your car can be cleaned of playa dust relatively easily, the inside of your car will still look like you murdered a man made entirely of chalk who did not go quietly into that good night
- The prospect of catching up on Tumblr after being gone for several days is enough to daunt even an internet black belt
